The Coastal Spirit of Athenian Sun
The Athenian Experience
The Athenian Glow
The best sailing areas near Athens are the Saronic Gulf (Aegina, Poros, Hydra, Spetses) for easy, sheltered cruising; the nearby Cyclades (Kea, Kythnos, Syros, Mykonos) for classic island scenery but windier conditions; and short extensions to the Argolic and Sporades for quieter anchorages — choose Saronic for calm, Cyclades for variety and nightlife, and plan trips in May–June or September to avoid the strongest Meltemi winds.
